France considers LULUCF sector’s contribution to 2040 target of 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to be unrealistic

In a non-paper seen by Agence Europe on Tuesday 22 July (see EUROPE B13685A4), France warns that the contribution of carbon sinks in the LULUCF (Land use, land use change and forestry) sector to achieving the 2040 climate target is unrealistic (see EUROPE B13685A4).
