On Tuesday 22 July, the European Commission announced the 25 finalists (in 5 categories) for the REGIOSTARS 2025 competition. This year’s competition attracted a record 266 entries.
Since its creation in 2008, REGIOSTARS has become Europe’s label of excellence for EU-funded projects that demonstrate the impact and inclusiveness of regional development. By providing solutions to common challenges and taking advantage of greater opportunities, REGIOSTARS has encouraged the regions to deliver an increasingly ambitious and effective European regional policy.
In the next stage of the competition, the public will be able to vote for their favourite finalist in the People’s Choice Award. Voting will start on 2 September on the REGIOSTARS website.
The finalists will present their projects to a panel of judges during the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 October.
