23/07/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 16 July, the Council of the European Union sent the European Parliament the compromise legislative text that will revise the statute of European political parties and their political foundations, after approving the provisional agreement on this issue between European Parliament representatives and the previous Polish Presidency of the Council (see EUROPE 13661/29). If Parliament ratifies the text of the agreement without amendment at a forthcoming plenary session, the EU Council will definitively adopt the regulation at first reading.
