EU countries prepare to sanction new players involved in crises in Sudan and Mali

16/07/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 16 July, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) approved without comment new sanctions targeting individuals and entities involved in the crisis situations in Sudan and Mali. These restrictive measures are due to be officially adopted on Friday 18 July at the General Affairs Council (GAC) meeting in Brussels. Once adopted, the content of the sanctions will be unveiled and published in the EU’s Official Journal. (BD)
