Council adopts new rules to make it easier for mobile citizens to vote in EU

24/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – The General Affairs Council has approved the recasting of Directive 93/109 setting down detailed arrangements for the exercise of the right to vote and stand as a candidate in European elections by EU citizens who are residing in another Member State, a dossier on which the European Parliament is only consulted (see EUROPE B13661A22).
