23/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On the evening of Thursday 22 May, the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industry Association (ASD) announced that Saab CEO Micael Johansson would become ASD President and Chair of its Board from 15 June 2025, for a two-year term. Previously Vice-Chair of the ASD Board, he succeeds Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus. MBDA CEO Éric Béranger has been elected Vice-Chair of the ASD Board, also effective from 15 June and for a two-year term. Camille Grand, Distinguished Policy Fellow of the European Council on Foreign Relations, becomes Secretary General of the ASD, with a start date scheduled for 1 September 2025. He takes over from Jan Pie, who is retiring, but will remain in an advisory role until the end of the year. The ASD represents more than 4,000 companies, employing 1 million people in 21 countries across Europe. (CG)
