EU opens anti-dumping investigations into certain Chinese tyres and Vietnamese polyethylene terephthalate

23/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 22 May, the European Commission announced that it had launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from Vietnam. PET is a plastic that is primarily used in the production of bottles. Last April, the European Commission received a complaint from PET Europe about Vietnamese products potentially being dumped.
