On Thursday 22 May, the European Union and the Philippines launched a joint Green Economy Platform as part of the bilateral Green Economy Partnership, an EU-funded Global Gateway programme led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
It will be a one-stop shop bringing together European and Filipino public and private players to accelerate the transition to a green economy.
This platform, supported by the European Union as well as Germany and Finland, serves as a “centralised knowledge centre”, providing access to technical resources, case studies and policy updates.
“We are proud to partner with the Philippine government, Finland and Germany to build a greener future as part of Global Gateway, the European Union’s strategy to promote sustainable investment. We have a lot to learn from each other”, said Marco Gemmer, Head of Cooperation at the European Union Delegation to the Philippines. (Original version in French by Pauline Denys)
