MEPs have agreed to negotiate in parallel with the preparation of measures in response to the US tariffs. In Strasbourg on Tuesday 6 May, they again debated the trade relationship between the EU and the United States.
Whether they say so clearly or not, most political groups support the European Commission’s strategy, which consists of negotiating with the US administration to find a mutually beneficial solution and, at the same time, preparing a firm response.
