Hadja Lahbib appalled by bombing of a Doctors Without Borders hospital

05/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Hadja Lahbib, said she was appalled by the bombing by the South Sudanese army of a Doctors Without Borders/Médecins sans frontières (MSF) hospital in Old Fangak on Saturday 3 May. According to a MSF press release, two helicopter gunships dropped a bomb on a pharmacy run by the NGO at 4.30 am, reducing it to ashes, before firing on the town of Old Fangak for half an hour.
