EU electricity transmission system operators studying technical details of blackout in Spain and Portugal

02/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – As previously announced by the European Commission, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) is setting up a group of experts to investigate the causes of the major blackout on the Iberian peninsula on 28 April (see EUROPE B13630A3). The panel is chaired by experts recognised by Transmission System Operators (TSOs) who were not directly affected by or involved in the blackout, and is made up of the TSOs involved as well...
