“Europe must defend itself against Trump’s oligarchy”, said Rasmus Andresen (Greens/EFA, German) on 1 April, as he shared a study on the introduction of a digital tax commissioned from the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS).
This kind of tax would be “a strong response to the aggressive trade policies of the United States”, according to the German MEP, and would enable the EU to finance “vital investments in infrastructure, research and digitalisation”.
