Armenian Parliament approves, at first reading, bill on opening of accession negotiations with EU

12/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 February, the Armenian Parliament adopted, at first reading, a bill aimed at opening negotiations to join the European Union. According to the Armenian Parliament, the bill states that the Republic of Armenia, “expressing the will of the people, setting itself the task of making Armenia a safe, secure, developed and prosperous country, announces the beginning of the process of Armenia’s accession to the European Union”.
