First call between Kaja Kallas and Marco Rubio on Ukraine, China and defence

29/01/25 (Agence Europe) – EU High Representative Kaja Kallas had her first phone call with the new US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, on Tuesday 28 January. “We discussed global issues where the EU and US have the same interests, including Russia’s war in Ukraine, Iran’s malign influence and challenges posed by China”, she explained on X.
