European Commission opens public consultation on provisions of Common Fisheries Policy

On Monday 27 January, the European Commission opened a public consultation to gather the views of stakeholders on the results achieved by the regulation on the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).

This public consultation, open until 21 April, is an important step towards a comprehensive evaluation of the current CFP regulation.

The assessment in question will focus on the impact of the regulation on the conservation of marine resources and on the management of fishing activities and the fleets...
