€20 million in EU funding for 134 breakthrough science projects

23/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 23 January, the European Research Council (ERC) announced the results of the final round of its 2024 ‘proof of concept’ competition. A total of 134 projects received grants, each worth €150,000. The Proof of Concept grant enables ERC-funded researchers to test the practical viability of scientific concepts, explore commercial opportunities or prepare patent applications.
