European Commission consults on certain road towing requirements

The European Commission is seeking views on its draft delegated regulation on requirements for trailers fitted with kingpin couplings and certain brake connectors of tractors. The aim is to update safety obligations at a time when technologies have evolved in recent years. The initiative incorporates three recently adopted regulations from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) to simplify approvals and reduce the burden on businesses....
