06/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 3 January, the European Commission launched a call for contributions on its future horizontal single market strategy. Interested parties can submit their views until 31 January. The aim is to gather information on the obstacles to the free movement of goods and services, the main regulatory and administrative challenges for businesses, issues relating to governance and the application of legislation, and possible solutions. The comments received will be examined at the Single Market Forum to be held in Kraków on 17 February, which the Commission is organising with the Polish Presidency of the Council. The Commission has been mandated by the European Council to present this horizontal strategy by June 2025. The aim is to modernise the internal market and make it more efficient for businesses.
