06/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – Martyna Pospieszalska has been appointed US liaison prosecutor at Eurojust, announced the European Agency responsible for strengthening judicial cooperation between Member States on 3 January. She takes over from Philip Mirrer-Singer for an initial two-year term. With over 10 years’ experience in international cooperation in criminal matters, Mrs Pospieszalska specialises in extraditions, mutual legal assistance, cross-border seizure of assets and obtaining electronic evidence. Before joining Eurojust, she worked in the Office of International Affairs at the US Department of Justice, advising on extraditions and requests for mutual legal assistance, particularly in Europe. The United States is one of 12 third countries with a liaison prosecutor at Eurojust, facilitating cross-border judicial cooperation with authorities in the EU Member States and other international partners.
