27/11/24 (Agence Europe) – The EU’s annual budget for 2025, as negotiated in the Conciliation Committee with the EU Council (see EUROPE 13526/15), was adopted on Wednesday 27 November at the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg by 418 votes to 185 with 67 abstentions. The EU Council validated the agreement on Monday 25 November (see EUROPE 13531/25). Total commitments are set at €192,768.6 million and total payments at €149,615.7 million (see EUROPE 13526/15). To deal with unforeseen circumstances, an amount of around €800.5 million has been kept available under the spending caps of the current Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027. (FS)
