21/11/2024 (Agence Europe) – The spokesman for the European External Action Service, Peter Stano, said on Thursday 21 November that Russia’s launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile in Ukraine would mark a clear escalation of the conflict. On Thursday, Kyiv accused Russia of firing such a missile at the town of Dnipro, which Moscow refused to confirm. “Such (an) attack would mark yet another clear escalation from the side of Putin”, Mr Stano stressed to the media. This “sign of escalation” would come on top of many others: the food crisis, the energy crisis, the use of drones and bombs on civilian infrastructure, the “nuclear gamble” and the presence of North Korean soldiers. “There is a desire to escalate, not to find ways towards peace”, added the spokesman.
