EU local and regional leaders call for fairer labour standards in agriculture

EU regions and cities want stronger social conditionality in access to EU funds to ensure fair working conditions for agricultural workers, according to an opinion adopted by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) on Wednesday 20 November.

In adopting this opinion (https://aeur.eu/f/efi) by Karine Gloanec-Maurin (PES, French), the CoR is advocating for greater labour protection and better working conditions for Europe’s agricultural workforce.
