Iliana Ivanova returns to her role as European auditor, after brief spell at European Commission

21/11/24 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control has approved the appointment of Iliana Ivanova from Bulgaria as a member of the European Court of Auditors. Before being appointed European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth in September 2023 (see EUROPE 13253/39), Ms Ivanova had already held this position between 2013 and 2023. Her five-year term will run until 2030. The European Parliament will ratify this decision at its plenary session starting on Monday 25 November. (MB)
