EU extends mandate of military assistance mission to Ukraine by two years

08/11/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 8 November, the EU Council adopted a decision extending the mandate of the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) for a further two years, until 15 November 2026. The aim of the mission is to help strengthen the military capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces. The aim is to have trained 75,000 soldiers by the end of the year (see EUROPE B13472A1).
