30/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 October, the EU High Representative announced that recent information on the presence of troops from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Russian soil in support of Russia’s war had been confirmed to him by the European Union Intelligence and Situation Centre (INTCEN). “The DPRK must stop providing support to Russia’s war efforts. Continued military support from the DPRK to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine will be met with an appropriate response”, he warned in a statement. In his view, “he presence of several thousand troops cooperating with the Russian military represents a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and of multiple UN Security Council resolutions” and is a “unilateral hostile act” by North Korea with serious consequences for European and global peace and security.
