Council agreement in sight on new EU macrofinancial aid to Ukraine

On Tuesday 8 October in Luxembourg, the Hungarian finance minister, Mihály Varga, confirmed that the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union aims to reach a political agreement on the creation of new macrofinancial assistance (MFA) to Ukraine of up to €35 billion (see EUROPE B13487A1).
