Almost six months after the launch of the ‘Minerals Security Partnership Forum’ (‘MSP Forum’), it welcomed seven new members on Friday 27 September. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, the Philippines, Serbia, Turkey and Zambia have joined the ranks of this alliance, which brings together countries rich in raw materials and importing countries (see EUROPE 13385/2).
The Forum meeting on 27 September provided an opportunity for its members to discuss the opportunities, priorities and challenges associated with the extraction, processing and recycling of critical raw materials. The new arrivals, for their part, expressed their priorities for developing the critical minerals sector in their countries.
The next meeting of the MSP Forum will take place in Brussels in December 2024 during Raw Materials Week. (Original version in French by Léa Marchal)
