EU announces major contribution to global vaccination and reinforced budget for humanitarian aid

On Saturday 28 September, the European Commission pledged a new contribution of €260 million to GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, for the period 2026-2027.

This funding aims to support GAVI’s goal of protecting 500 million children worldwide by 2030, strengthening immunisation systems and improving global health security by increasing the capacity to respond to epidemics.
