Belgian Hilde Vautmans elected Chair of European Delegation to Africa-EU Parliamentary Assembly

The MEPs who are members of the permanent delegation to the Africa-EU Parliamentary Assembly renewed their bureau on Monday 30 September. Belgian Hilde Vautmans (Renew Europe) succeeds Czech Kateřina Konečná (Non-attached Member) as delegation Chair.

Mrs Vautmans received 21 of the 35 votes cast. Frenchman Thierry Mariani, who stood as a candidate for the ‘Patriots for Europe’ Group, received just 14 votes.
