17/09/24 (Agence Europe) – On the evening of Monday 16 September, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, unveiled to the Parliament’s Bureau the responsibilities she has conferred on the 14 Vice-Presidents of the Parliament elected in mid-July (see EUROPE 13452/2). Spain’s Esteban González Pons (EPP) will sit on the European ethics body, which is currently being set up, and Germany’s Katarina Barley (S&D) will be his alternate. The Romanian Victor Negrescu (S&D), once nominated by his country as a candidate European Commissioner, will be responsible for the EU institution’s fight against corruption and for transparency policy.
