21/06/24 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 June, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a set of technical standards and guidelines as part of the regulation governing the European crypto-asset market (MiCAR) (see EUROPE 13358/25). It has published four documents: - the final draft of regulatory technical standards on the use of asset-referenced tokens (ARTs) and electronic money tokens (EMTs) denominated in a non-European currency as a medium of exchange; - the final draft implementing technical standards on the reporting obligations of issuers of ARTs and EMTs denominated in a non-European currency and of crypto-asset service providers (CASPs); - guidelines on liquidity stress testing; - the final draft of the regulatory technical standards for colleges of supervisors.
