May 2024 marks 12th consecutive month with record temperatures, according to Copernicus

05/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – In its new monthly bulletin, published on Wednesday 5 June, the European Commission’s climate change observatory, Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), announced that May 2024 was the warmest May on record at global level, with an average surface air temperature that was 0.65°C above the 1991-2020 average.
