30/05/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission and Europa Nostra, Europe’s leading heritage network, have announced the 26 winners of the 2024 Heritage Awards, which recognise 22 projects from within EU Member States and countries associated with the Creative Europe programme, as well as four projects from the UK that have won the Europa Nostra Award. The winners will be celebrated at the European Heritage Awards ceremony to be held on 7 October at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, which recently received a ‘European Heritage Label’. At this ceremony, the Grand Prix laureates and the winner of the Public Choice Award – chosen from among the winning projects – will be announced and will receive a prize of €10,000. The European Cultural Heritage Summit, organised by Europa Nostra and supported by the European Commission, will be held from 6 to 8 October.
