European Data Protection Supervisor disappointed with Council of Europe’s Framework Convention on AI

“This first-of-a-kind treaty will ensure that the rise of Artificial Intelligence upholds Council of Europe legal standards in human rights, democracy and the rule of law”, declared Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić during her announcement on Friday, 15 March, that an ad hoc committee had finalised the ‘Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence’.
