European co-legislators tighten EU rules on import and export of civilian firearms

On the evening of Wednesday 13 March, negotiators from the EU Council and the European Parliament reached a provisional agreement on a new regulation presented at the end of 2022 (see EUROPE B13052A10) on the import and export of civilian firearms, and designed to provide greater transparency and traceability.
