12/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 11 March, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators granted the six-month extension requested on 17 January (see EUROPE 13340/36) by the National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) of the Hansa capacity calculation region in order to reach agreement on the cross-zonal capacity calculation methodology proposed by the Transmission System Operators (TSOs) for the balancing timeframe in the region. This methodology describes the rules on calculating the amount of capacity available for the exchange of balancing energy or for operating the imbalance netting process. The NRAs in the Hansa region (Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden) have until 6 August to decide on the TSOs’ proposal. To see the ACER publication: https://aeur.eu/f/b92 (PLD)
