European Commission wants to adopt new rules for State aid that are better aligned with sustainable transport goals

The European Commission announced, on Thursday 7 March, that it was opening a call for evidence in order to gather comments from stakeholders on its plan to adopt new rules on State aid for ‘green’ transport in order to simplify and better align these rules with European Green Deal and Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy targets.

As part of the revision of the Railway Guidelines on State aid, the European Commission wants to adopt a new Transport Block Exemption Regulation (TBER)...
