EU Council validates agreement with European Parliament on reducing CO2 emissions from heavy-duty vehicles

13/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 9 February, the Member States’ representatives to the EU (Coreper) validated the agreement reached in January with the European Parliament on new CO2 emission standards for new heavy-duty vehicles (see EUROPE B13331A15). This regulation sets targets for 2030, 2035 and 2040 in order to achieve the EU’s climate ambitions by 2030 and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
