Guillaume Pierre Wunsch to be reappointed Governor of National Bank of Belgium until 2029

10/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – The reappointment of Guillaume Pierre Wunsch as Governor of the National Bank of Belgium was confirmed on Wednesday 10 January following a meeting of the “kern”, or Restricted Council of Ministers. After his first term of office began on 2 January 2019, Mr Wunsch will therefore govern the Belgian national central bank and, as a result, will be a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank for a further 5 years, until 2029.
