European Parliament urges authorities to stop forced evictions of Maasai communities

In a resolution adopted (493 votes in favour, 29 against, and 17 abstentions) on Thursday, 14 December, the European Parliament has sided with the Maasai communities who have been expelled from their land in the Ngorongoro District of Tanzania notably due to a vast section of land in the Loliondo area being converted into a game reserve.
