EU imposes a provisional anti-dumping duty on certain types of petroleum-based plastics from China

29/11/23 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has decided to provisionally impose an anti-dumping duty on certain types of ‘polyethylene terephthalate’, plastics used in the clothing and packaging industries, following an investigation initiated in March 2023. The Commission opened the investigation following a complaint lodged in February by PET Europe, and stated that it had found dumping and threat of injury on these products.
