28/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Tuesday 28 November, Italy’s fourth payment request under its revised post-Covid-19 recovery plan, which amounts to €16.5 billion in grants and loans (see EUROPE 13300/6). Reforms have been carried out in the areas of justice, public procurement and healthcare. Investments will be made in decarbonising public transport, electric recharging infrastructure, hydrogen production, digitalising public administration and early childhood. The Commission also approved payment requests under the revised German (see EUROPE 13294/25) and Greek (see EUROPE 13297/17) post-Covid-19 recovery plans.
