27/11/23 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 27 November, the EU ministers for employment and social affairs definitively adopted the recommendation on promoting favourable frameworks for the social economy in order to support its role in promoting social inclusion and access to the labour market, according to a press release. The ministers gave their political backing to this recommendation on 9 October (see EUROPE 13267/5). The recommendation suggests that Member States facilitate access to finance, markets and public procurement for social economy entities, make best use of State aid rules and create a favourable tax environment. Member States will have two years to adopt or update their national strategies for the social economy. Link to the recommendation: https://aeur.eu/f/9rj (SP)
