16/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – Three European countries are before the Court of Justice of the EU for incorrect application of the Directive on payment periods for businesses. The news was announced by the Commission on Thursday 16 November as part of its monthly sanctions package. The Late Payments Directive requires public authorities to pay their bills within 30 days (or 60 days for public hospitals).
