European Commission raises €8 billion in latest syndicated transaction for 2023

15/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 14 November, the European Commission raised a further €8 billion in its eleventh syndicated transaction, issuing a new €5 billion 5-year bond maturing on 5 December 2028, and a €3 billion NextGenerationEU 24-year green bond maturing on 4 February 2048. Investors responded strongly, placing bids in excess of €66 billion for the 5-year bond and over €70 billion for the green bond, with oversubscription rates of around 13 and 24...
