European Commission directing more than €396 million in funding towards 171 new environment and climate projects in LIFE programme

The European Commission has approved 171 new projects, worth over €396 million, across Europe under the LIFE programme, it announced on Tuesday 14 November.

Thanks to the programme’s co-financing requirements, total investment exceeds €722 million, an increase of 28.5% on the previous year.

Projects focus on nature and biodiversity, the circular economy, climate change mitigation and the transition to clean energy.
