MEPs call for tougher anti-money laundering measures following ‘Cyprus Confidential’ revelations

The revelations of ‘Cyprus Confidential’ by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), published on Tuesday 14 November, have prompted reactions from Members of the European Parliament. The investigation revealed that Cypriot financial companies had helped Russian oligarchs and billionaires to hide their wealth abroad.
