According to the third annual report on the implementation and application of EU trade policy, the value of the Union’s trade under free trade agreements exceeded €2,000 billion for the first time in 2022.
In this report, the Commission shows that, on average, trade with the Union’s 20 preferential trading partners increased by 30% in 2022. In total, 44% of the EU’s trade was conducted through free trade agreements signed with partner countries.
