MEPs vote to ban products made with forced labour from European Union

Meeting for a joint session on Monday 16 October, MEPs from the Committees on Internal Market (IMCO) and International Trade (INTA) adopted their position on the regulation banning products made with forced labour from the European Union.

With 66 votes in favour, none against and ten abstentions, the text was broadly approved by the MEPs. The dozen or so compromise amendments discussed by the groups beforehand made it easier for the right-wing to accept certain details of the text. The...
