17/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 17 October, the Platform on Sustainable Finance, which enables cooperation between business, the public sector, industry and academia, and the European Commission launched the stakeholder request mechanism to assess and take into account suggestions from stakeholders concerning the activities of the EU taxonomy (see EUROPE 13226/21). This mechanism allows stakeholders to submit suggestions based on scientific and/or technical evidence concerning new economic activities that could be added to the EU taxonomy or on potential revisions to the technical criteria for selecting existing activities. On Friday 15 December, all requests will be processed by the platform’s technical working group.
